Vouliagmeni

During one of our site visits to a new home we were fortunate enough to be working on in the seaside town of Vouliagmeni, Greece, outside Athens, we were able to squeak-out just enough free time in-between flights and meetings to visit the Acropolis.

While evidence of human settlement on this flat-topped rock dates back 8,000 years, the relics we observed were created closer to 2,500 years ago.

The level of detail, not to mention durability, of these artifacts is amazing.  But, factor in the rudimentary tools they were working with at the time, as well as the shear size and weight of the objects they were lifting/moving, and it is awe-inspiring.
